Greetings! I am excited to share my experience at a local coffee roasters with you! Our trip out to the Lambertville/Stockton area would not have been complete without grabbing some local coffee. After a long cooking class, my husband and i received a recommendation to visit Rojo’s Roastery, located in Lambertville, New Jersey. Since we love frequenting independent cafes, we headed over to Rojo’s Roastery, a small batch and artisan roaster! We truly did not know what to expect!
We were greeting by a kind & knowledgable barista, who helped me pick out a delicious smoothie made from fresh juice from Solebury Orchards & organic fruit! I opted to indulge in a fresh raspberry and blueberry smoothie, which was perfectly refreshing, bright & satisfying on a hot (it was almost 90 degrees!) day. My husband truly enjoyed his iced latte (unsweetened), exclaiming how effective the caffeine was at giving him the perfect “pick me up” we were seeking to fuel us through the rest of the day! His latte was rich, smooth & tasty.

Rojo’s Roastery has a very unique mission & business model. Rojo’s sources from small coffee farmers, globally, contributing to the sustainability and support of the farmers and their fellow communities. The amount of precision, passion, and expertise that goes into choosing & roasting the coffee they serve reminded me of my previous visit to Cafe Volan.
The vibe in Rojo’s Roastery is so unique and stands out against most other coffee experiences I have had. I would venture to describe it as “cozy industrial” – there is tons of hardware around the space, complimented with plants & cozy seating with dim lighting. I loved the contrast of textures, colors, and the utilization of the space makes for a great conversation starter. I can only imagine how cool it could be to be there while they are roasting coffee beans! The natural light coming through all of the windows makes for a great space to settle in on their couch & read a book or one of the magazines they offer.
Rojo’s Roastery also offers tons of fresh baked goods, honey, and other treats. We did not get to indulge in these treats, but will definitely be back again!
Fun Fact: Rojo’s Roastery is the sibling location of Rojo’s Roastery Cafe in Princeton, New Jersey! My husband and I will be visiting the Princeton location in the meantime, since it is closer to home – and a great pick me up after some ice cream at The Bent Spoon!
Till next time,
Kimber xx
